WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH

Consider joining us for Wednesday Bible Study.  All are welcome beginning at 7pm at the church.  There is an area available for children to play quietly or to do their homework.  You never know where our study and discussion will take us.

Manna orders for February are due this Sunday, February 1st.  Manna cards are a great way to support our church without having to buy something you don't need.  Look over the sheet at all of the vendors and order yours!  There is something for everyone and Manna cards make trouble free gifts as well.  Take home a few of the forms to have on hand and share with friends or relatives.  Valentine's Day will be here in two weeks!  Feel free to call the office (815-886-4354) if you have any questions about the program.  Thanks!

As always, I am wishing you all peace, faith, hope, love, grace and health.  One more week and I will be on vacation for two weeks.  Hopefully we won't get snowed in before then!

CAN YOU HELP AT GOOD SHEPHERD TONIGHT?

Good Morning!

We are in need of assistance at church tonightTuesday, beginning at 7 for no longer than two hours, to move things around in order to start showing preschool supplies.  Think of it as pre-Spring cleaning and stop in to lend muscle power!

We'd also like to remind you that tomorrow (Wednesday) night we will be serving a soup supper at 6:30pm with Reignite Team Meetings beginning at 7pm.

We're looking forward to seeing you!

WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH

Good Afternoon!

We hope this finds you safe and warm.  The year 2015 is starting out just like 2014 did.  I haven't been to the office for two days now and am bringing you this first issue of "What's Happening" from my home.  Hopefully the extreme cold will go away soon.

 Here's what's happening around Good Shepherd. . . . .

Sun. Jan 11-Connection Café open at 8:30am with Worship at 9am

Sun. Jan 11-Community Open House at Romeoville Rec Center from 1 to 4pm.  Come help our Outreach Team represent Good Shepherd Church.

Tue. Jan 13-Reports for the next Council Meeting are needed in the office TODAY!

Wed. Jan 14-Soup Supper at 6:30pm followed by Reignite Teams Meeting at 7pm.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Sun. Jan 18-Connection Café begins at 8:30am and is followed by Worship at 9am

Sun. Jan 18-Church Council Meeting begins at 4:30pm

For those of you who did not attend the Annual Meeting on December 28th, we will be reconvening the meeting following worship on January 25th to vote on a motion that is on the floor.  Please contact a Church Council member for more information, and everyone should plan to attend the meeting on Jan. 25th!

Please keep the Kobzina family in your prayers, as they mourn the passing of June's husband, George.  Prayers for their children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.  Arrangements are as follows:  Friday, January 9th at Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Town Hall Drive in Romeoville; from 2 to 7pm for a wake, with service at 6:30pm. Our congregation will be providing finger foods and drinks for the family for their time at the funeral home.  If you'd like to contribute to offset the cost for this, you can contribute to the Matthew 25 Fund at any time.  Thanks in advance for your generosity and your prayers.

I am wishing you all peace, faith, hope, love and health in 2015.
