WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH

A Holy Week Hello to you!

We hope that this message will get out to you since we have been
experiencing internet connection difficulties. This has been an
exceptionally busy week and, coupled with internet problems, we are
seriously feeling as though we're being tested. On a happy note, DCFS
was here yesterday and our Preschool passed their tri-annual licensing
visit! Great job Miss Marilyn and Miss Judith!

Here is What's Happening at Good Shepherd over the next few weeks. . . .

1. TONIGHT-Thur. March 28-Maundy Thursday worship will be at 7:30pm at
the church

2. Fri. March 29-Good Friday worship services will be held at 11am and
also at 7:30pm at church

3. Sat. March 30-Easter Vigil worship will be at 10:30pm at church

4. Sun. March 31-Sunrise Easter Worship service at 6:30am at the church

5. Sun. March 31-Easter Worship services at 8am and/or 10am at the church

6. Mon. April 1-Monday Night Study at 7pm at the Suchomel home

7. Tue. April 2-Shepherd's Food Pantry is open from 6:30 to 8pm at 2
Belmont Dr. (at Rt. 53)

8. Tue. April 2-M&M's (Mary & Martha's) Women's Study at 7pm at the
home of Jan Sanchez

9. Thur. April 4-G2R (Genesis to Revelation) Study meeting at
Stoughton's beginning at 7pm

10. Fri. April 5-Friday Study meets at 7pm at the home of Laura Voruz

11. Sat. April 6-A C T (A Community Together) Planning Meeting at 12pm
at church followed by a Tweener's movie outing

12. Sun. April 7-Worship at 8 and/or 10am with Connection Café between services

13. Sun. April 7-Sunday School for children age 4 through 5th grade
will meet at 9:15am in the office

14. Sun. April 7-Final orientation/informational meeting regarding the
Making Disciples program will meet immediately following the 10am
worship service

15. Sun. April 7-Deadline for submitting Manna order forms and money

Making Disciples - A final informational meeting on this program will
be held on Sunday, April 7, immediately following the 10am service.
This program is designed for anyone who is interested in going deeper
in their faith walk and sharing the journey with fellow believers.
The program will kick off on May 19 and will run through the end of
the year. It is open to youth in grades 7 and up, along with adults.
Adults will be paired together and youth will be paired with an adult
mentor. Questions? Can't make the meeting? Please talk to Debbie
Suchomel, Learning Chair, or Pastor Suzanne.

Preschool Registration for the 2013-2014 school year is now open.
Anyone interested should contact Marilyn Pierce at the Preschool
(815-886-4356) for details or to arrange for a tour of the Preschool.

Manna Gift Card orders (printed on the sunshine yellow paper) should
be turned in either at church or in the office by April 7. These
cards are useful for gifts as well as your everyday purchases, and pay
a percentage of their face value to Good Shepherd Church as well.

As Holy Week becomes more intense, come join us tonight for Maundy
Thursday Worship at 7:30pm for the story of the last supper and the
symbolic washing of feet, on Good Friday at 11am or 7:30pm for the
service of darkness, for the Saturday Vigil Worship at 10:30pm and on
Easter Sunday we will have Sunrise Worship at 6:30am as well as Easter
Worship at 8 and/or 10am. Invite a friend to join you! All are
always welcome.
