I am happy to report that Pastor Suzanne made it safely back to Romeoville from New York this morning and is hopefully resting after her 18 hour drive. Be sure to come to worship this Sunday to get updated on our friends in Breezy, New York and the surrounding areas affected by Superstorm Sandy.

TONIGHT-Thur. Nov. 14-FLY Lady meets at 7pm at the home of Lydia Faber
Thur. Nov. 14-Reports for the Church Council Meeting are due in the office today
Fri. Nov. 15-Friday Study will be meeting at 7pm at the home of Laura Voruz
Sat. Nov. 16-Teller's Meeting at church at 9:30am
Sat. Nov. 16-Finance Team Meeting at church at 11:00am
Sun. Nov. 17-Worship at 8 and/or 10am with Connection Café between services
Sun. Nov. 17-Sunday Book Study will meet at 2pm at Pastor Suzanne's home
Mon. Nov. 18-Church Council will meet beginning at 5:30pm
Wed. Nov. 20-Wednesday Study begins at 6:30pm with a light supper followed by our New Testament book of Romans study at 7pm, concluding with communion around 8:30pm. This will be the final night of the Romans study and all and their friends are welcome to attend.
Thur. Nov. 21-Preschool Annual Thankful Dinner from 6:30 to 8pm. All are welcome to attend. (See details below.)
Fri. Nov. 22-Crafter's Night at the church begins at 7pm. Bring your project and join us!
Fri. Nov. 22-Friday Study meeting at the home of Laura Voruz begins at 7pm
Sun. Nov. 24-Worship at 8 and/or 10 am with Connection Café between services
Wednesday Bible Study - Join us on Wednesday as we conclude our study on the New Testament book of Romans. Come at 6:30pm for supper followed by our study at 7. We conclude with communion around 8:30pm. Bring your Bible, a dish to share, and an open mind for learning and sharing. All ages welcome! Invite a friend, too. This study takes place at the church.
Is Crafter's Night something you might be interested in? Bring your craft project and "drop in" to the Crafter's Night where we work on our projects and maybe do a bit of talking, too. If you are interested in learning the art of scrapbooking, Carrie Worthington would be glad to share her expertise. The next meeting will be held on Friday, Nov. 22 at the church beginning at 7pm. The cost is none to join the fun! (NOTE: There is not a meeting tomorrow as previously reported in What's Happening.)
Preschool Annual Thankful Dinner will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 6:30 to 8pm at the church/preschool, and you're invited! Meat and entertainment will be provided. You are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Please call the Preschool (815-886-4356) to let them know how many are attending so we have enough seats and food for everyone.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, we will be having our Annual Thanksgiving Eve Worship on Nov.27th at 7pm at the church, followed by the sharing of pies or favorite desserts. Come join us and share in the fellowship, reminiscing of Thanksgivings gone by, and what you are thankful for. All are welcome!
