Greetings Everyone!
Tomorrow is our first official day of Spring and we will have an equal amount of day and night. Is anyone going to try to balance an egg on end at 5:45pm tomorrow? We did this one Spring when I was working at the American Egg Board, and it does work. Our egg stayed on end for almost a week until someone accidentally bumped the counter it was on. The local newspaper even came out and took pictures. Try it!

Midweek service-Join us this Wednesday evening, March 25th at 7:00 p.m. for our last Midweek Lenten service. Our focus this year is on Grace: A Work in Progress.
Palm Sunday - Join us for a special Palm Sunday service at 9:00 a.m. that will include a presentation by some of our finest singers, bringing the Gospel alive with music. Following our service, we'll share in a potluck brunch together, enjoying conversation and food. Please bring a brunch item to share.
Holy Week services:
Maundy Thursday, April 2 - 7:00 p.m. - In the "upper room" with the Disciples, listening to the words of Jesus and sharing in the Last Supper
Good Friday, April 3 - Noon service - a brief service of readings and prayers; 7:00 p.m. Good Friday Service of Tenebrae/Darkness - this is a special service that has become very meaningful to many of us, as we listen to the last words of Jesus on the day he was crucified.
Holy Saturday, April 4 - We are still working out the details of this service but hope to offer a time to go to Resurrection Cemetery late in the evening, on the eve of Easter, to think about Jesus' last night. More information to come next week.
Easter Sunday, April 5 - 6:30 a.m. - We'll be offering our Sunrise Service again at Resurrection Cemetery, located on 135th Street. This service will offer Holy Communion, a reading of the Easter Gospel, and the singing of Easter hymns.
Please note: We are surveying regular attendees to determine whether we will offer one combined service at 9:00 a.m. or two services on Easter morning. If we offer two services, they will be at 8a.m. - traditional Easter worship with hymns, liturgy, Holy Communion, and more and at 10:00 a.m. service with more modern music led by our praise band and including Holy Communion, readings, and more. Please contact either George Sanchez, Judy Jordan, Carrie Worthington, or Roy Jamason to let them know if you would prefer one service together on Easter morning or two separate services. Thanks.
I wish everyone peace, hope, love, grace, health and a super Spring!
