WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH

Hello and Happy November!

I'm still adjusting to last weekend's time change, how about you?  It is so hard to believe that we are having our Vendor Fair in just over a week.  We hope that everyone drops in (and brings family, friends and neighbors as well) to see the variety of vendors who will be participating between 9am and 2pm on November 15th.

Here's What's Happening around Good Shepherd Church . . .

Reignite, the name for our 90 Day Teams, will be meeting tonight, November 6th.  Come help reignite Good Shepherd Church by joining their meeting at 7pm at the church.  All are invited to help in molding the future of our beloved Good Shepherd Church.  There are different areas of interest that would welcome additional support.  Come to the meeting and offer your assistance.

Audit help needed!  If you can give us some time to help audit the church financial records, please contact Carrie Worthington for details.  We are now doing quarterly audits of accounts.

As part of our Stewardship Campaign, "Four-Step Plan to Peace," we'll be having two special events this week.  First, just a reminder that we will NOT be holding services at our church this Sunday, 11/9.  Instead, we encourage you to visit another church.  Then, on Monday, 11/10, join us at 6:30pm for a light supper and time of reflection on our worship visits.  At 7:30pm, we'll have a special "Worry Burn" service, incorporating our elements from last Sunday's service.  We hope you'll be part of this great program/campaign and bring your ideas from other churches on ways we can do worship and church better.

Are you interested in Crafts?  We have a group that meets together at church to work on their various craft projects, as well as socializing and sharing their "crafty" abilities.  Stop by and bring your project(s) along!  All are always welcome.

Manna November orders gained us a total profit of $134.45!  Thanks to those of you who placed orders this month.  The December order form is now available.  By giving Manna cards you don't have to worry about the color, size or style of the gift—the recipient chooses just what they want, making it a win-win for everyone.  Having extra cards for forgotten gifts or giving one as a hostess gift is also an option.  Cards can be kept on hand for any time or occasion, and are a safe way to spend without carrying cash or worrying about your credit card being hacked by a security breach.  There are several vendor cards that will suit everyone's needs.  Best of all, you only pay the face value of the card and never have any extra fees added.  Check out the December form and consider placing an order.  Please call the church office (815-886-4354) if you have any questions about the program and we'll be glad to help.  Thanks!

Mark your calendars now and plan to attend our Thankful Dinner on November 20th.  We've put a new twist on this Preschool event to allow us to reminisce and share what we're all thankful for.  Be sure to get your pre-stamped RSVP card into the mail soon!

Remember to check Good Shepherd's Facebook page for the latest news or updates, as well as calling the church office (815-886-4354) for information.  Be sure to leave a message if there's no answer and someone will get back to you.  Also, please email me (revassistant@gmail.com) if you prefer not to get this weekly What's Happening report.

Don't forget our special "visit another church" is this Sunday and there won't be any worship here.  Please plan to bring your report to the light supper on Monday at 6:30pm and attend the "Worry Burn" service immediately following.  Please also spread the word to everyone you can think of.  We look forward to getting together and sharing on Monday!

I am taking a "Honey Do" day off tomorrow (Friday) to accomplish chores we just can't fit in anywhere else, but want to wish everyone peace, hope, love, faith, grace, health and sunshine.
