WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH

Hello!

I guess it is almost time to pack away the summer clothing, start wearing shoes instead of sandals and find the "happy light" once again. Not my favorite time of year.  We haven't turned on the heat in our house yet, have you?

Here's What's Happening around Good Shepherd Church . . .

TONIGHT-Thur. Oct 2-Our Reignite Teams (formerly known as 90 Day Teams) will meet at 7pm at church

Sun. Oct 5-Connection Café begins at 8:30am with Worship beginning at 9am

Sun. Oct 5-Manna order forms and checks are due today

Tue. Oct 7-M & M's Women's Bible Study meets at 7pm at the home of Jan Sanchez

Wed. Oct 8-Bring a light dinner to enjoy at 6:30pm and follow it with Bible Study at 7pm

Fri. Oct 10-Crafter's Night will begin at 7pm at the church

Sun. Oct 12-Connection Café opens at 8:30am and Worship begins at 9am

Wed. Oct 15-Reports for the Church Council Meeting are due in the office today

Wed. Oct 15-Bring your light dinner at 6:30pm and join the Bible Study at 7pm at church

Thu. Oct 16-Reignite Teams Meeting begins at 7pm at the church.  All are welcome.

Sat. Oct 18-Fall Family Fun Day with food, games and fun for everyone!

Sun. Oct 19-Connection Café at 8:30am with Worship following at 9:00am

Reignite is the new name for our 90 Day Teams.  Come let your light shine and help reignite Good Shepherd Church.  Two meetings are planned for October, with the first one happening tonight and the second one on the 16th.  You are invited to join us at any time to help make it happen.  There are different areas of interest that would welcome additional support.  Attend the meetings and have some fun as well!

Manna order forms for October are available now and are due to be turned in by Oct.5th.  Manna cards are a safe way to spend without carrying cash or worrying about your credit card being hacked by a security breach.  There are several vendor cards that will suit everyone's needs, and they make excellent gifts as well.  Best of all, you only pay the face value of the card and never have any extra fees added.  Check out the newest form and consider placing an order.  Call the office (815-886-4354) if you have any questions about the program and we'll be glad to help out.  Thanks!

Do you know of anyone interested in having a table at our third annual Vendor's Fair coming to Good Shepherd on November 15th?  Plans are underway now with the cost of a table being $25 plus 10% (or more) of the actual sales.  Sale hours are 9am to 2pm with set-up beginning at 8am.  Please have them contact Judy Jordan or Lori Haack for further details and/or a Vendor's contract, and plan to come to shop on that date as well!

We received notice in the office this week about a free Mortgage Relief Project outreach event, part of the Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network, to help lower your mortgage and avoid foreclosure.  This event will be held on Saturday, October 25th.  For more information, check the back table at church.
